Girl In The Rain

by Dana   Feb 27, 2004

Sitting on the side of the street
People walking by but they don’t see
The girl sitting in the rain
With heavy tears of blood falling from her eyes

People Walk by, they don’t see
A girl with mixed emotions and no where to turn
Without a home, coldness left in her heart
No way can she face who she is or who she’ll become

People walk by, but they don’t see
A girl sitting there with goals and expectations
Yet not knowing how to reach them
Left alone to fight the world on her own

People walk by, but they don’t see
A teenager at the age of 14 sitting alone
Friends and family shut out
She’s trying to shout out but nobody hears!

People walk by, but they don’t see
They’re too busy caring on with their lives
Too busy to care about a teenager alone
With thoughts of death running through her mind

People walk by, but they don’t see
A girl sitting with a knife and blood dripping down
A face pale as snow
Her body becoming lifeless

People walk by, but they don’t see
Until it’s to late
The girl with a life
Not knowing she was loved because nobody could see

People walk by, but they don’t see
Until it’s too late…
People walk by, but they don’t see
They don’t see that the girl was me…
