My Pillar

by andrea   Jul 9, 2006

My pillar of strength,
Where did you go.
Screaming at the top of my lungs,
As you delivered the blow.
Walking away from all that I knew,
Beginning a life, one that was without you.
Not knowing where to go,
The pain eating away so slow.
Numbness, settled in,
Without you, lost in my own skin.
Slowly though, life\'s beginning to come around.
Without you now, beginning to rebound.
A new pillar erected,
Myself the one who I neglected.
I never knew that I could go on without you,
But blossoming now, making a fresh debut.
