Dancing with a Blade

by andrea   Jul 30, 2006

Falling from the cabinet, calling out my name.
Dance with me, come now and play my game.
Fighting the temptation, don't let the razor touch my skin.
Fighting that monster who lives deep within.

Taking the blade in my finger tips.
Don't do it, slowly falling from my lips.
Dance with me, the blade commands.
Gripping the razor tightly now, within my hands.

I have the power, I am the one in control.
You belong to me now, every ounce of your soul.
So just take that blade and slice your skin.
You know how this game goes so let's begin.

Just one little cut, that's all you need.
Do it now, make yourself bleed.
Slowly the razor creaps close to my skin.
Come along now the demon says with a grin.

Do it quickly now and make it precise.
One tiny cut, will suffice.
And quiet the demons inside your head.
Sitting on the floor as the tears start to shed.

Dropping the razor in the sink.
Twisted thoughts, making it hard to think.
Overpowering the demon inside.
Not this time... you've been denied.
