Hello Again

There I stood face to face
with my biggest fear.
Thats the first time our eyes met
in more than two years.

My heart pounded
as he called me up
both of us nervous and trembling
he asked me for a hug.

When our bodies touched
and our arms wrapped tight
he told me he still loved me
with tears in his eyes.

Told me he missed me
and he's doing fine,
Still thinks of me every day
even after all this time.

He didn't know what he had
until it was gone,
and he said that
I was right all along.

Couldn't take his eyes off me
didn't want me to leave,
there is something about him
that still gets to me.
