Broken Angel

There is an angel
With broken wings
No pearly gates
And no muses to sing
No shining light
And no floating above
Because this poor angel
Died from love
There is no place
For her broken heart
Especially in heaven
The place for a new start
She won't let it go
And it won't mend
The guy that did it
Says it's all pretend
So I saw this angel
Falling to the ground
No wings to land gracefully
So she makes a big sound
She tells me a secret
To seal my fate
I try to thank her
But it is much too late
Her heart destroyed her
She's not below or above
Her last words to me were
"There's no such thing as love"
