Saved

by Silentblond   Jul 11, 2006

The message on his palm
The reminders lay upon his back
The cries of love mixed with tears of sweat
The gift of forgiveness we had lacked
He took our place for the cause
He saw the sin that held us in chains
He loved us more than himself
To make a part of him go through all those pains
What did we do to thank him?
We watched him hang from nails
Let Satan work within us
So he can watch if the Lord fails
But everything happened
That was suppose to save
And Satan cried in hatred
As Jesus rose that day
The scars on his palms
Remind us of his love
That he has saved us
And is watching from above
