Her Journey Home

by Living4Him   Jul 12, 2006

Wandering down a dark and narrow road
Thinking this is her only way home
Living a life of deceit and lies
Never having a single person wipe the tears from her eyes
Never knowing what it feels like to be loved and held
Only known as the one who failed
Always been on the outside looking in
Been in constant struggle just to try and win
But when everyone thought that she was broken, only God saw a soul
That could be picked up and be made whole
So thus began her walk down a path of golden stone
Taking the right road on her journey home

This road of golden stone has had some bumps along the way
But nothing to keep her down, only pushing to take life day by day
Because she finally found someone to guide her through life
A being so powerful that only He can remove her strife
He helped this soul that people saw as flawed and broken
And set her aside as one of his special tokens
He knew she belonged in his chest filled with hope and grace
And people whose lives had been taken and restored with faith
God knew she was walking for too long, down the road that was dark
So He took his light and gave her life a spark.

No longer does she see the darkness at the end of the road
Because she finally found the strength and power to know she's not alone.
