Plague Ridden

by Flying Phoenix   Jul 12, 2006

Crumpled surface, rough to touch
Broken by fear, violence, disgrace
Hidden completely behind that mask
Ugliness shown
And no one sees beneath
The beauty within
I am trapped in my skin
Of disrupted smooth
Tears of agony create a gentle
Pathway across this havoc
Ridden face
Do not judge me for my looks
I cannot help but break the mirrors
I see
Please listen, don't be afraid
Behind an awful appearance
Is a beautiful figure
Delightful features
Corrupted by a plague
Causing this pain
Never ending torment
I arrest my case
Only few can look past
And see me truly at last
