All alone

Are you lost little girl do you know where your going
Slowly but surely I'll get the gift of knowing
Mommy says if I leave the house I won't get hurt
But what does she mean...
well daddy has tantrums and loves to curse they
fight all day and night while i hide under my bed
sometimes mommy tells me she wishes she was dead
at times we would cry together while she kisses
my head i guess since I'm little she feels bad because
seeing like this makes me sad
at times daddy would yell at me 2 and call me a bad girl but
i had no idea what he meant because he always told me that
i was his world
daddy lied to me and caused us pain
is that why you walk around with the look of shame
perhaps so but you see daddy had a game he would
he would make me cry it was a game i could never play
daddy would hurt mommy with his fist and push me aside
there was no point to Evan try
to try to save mom his grip was too strong
but why didn't everyone just try to get along
we did at one point
but then daddy lost his job and went to the bar to sob
got home and took it out on mom
but where is she now
you see thats a good question
with all that abuse i think mommy went to heaven
