Perfectly Betrayed

My boyfriend and I were perfect
Nothing could take us apart
Our young love was unbreakable
And this was just our start

People knew we were young
But predicted us to wed
My own mother swore upon it
Saying a wonderful future was ahead

So the story goes
My best friend flew into town
She had never met my boyfriend
Since she had never been around

My best friend from third grade
I couldn't wait for him to meet her
Little did I know
The problems that would stir

The first day they met
They seemed to get along
I was unbelievably happy
Not seeing what was going on

When we all went to a party
I knew my friend was down stairs
And thought my boy was with me
Until I glanced at his empty chair

I unknowingly go down stairs
Innocently looking for my boy
But we I turned the corner that all changed
