I Wait

by Jamin Huchingson   Jul 13, 2006

I've been on an exploration
Giving everyone I meet an examination
Are my standards to elevated
Or am I scared that my walls could be penetrated

Each day is another day dated
Another moment that I've waited
Been on a long lost search
Like a bird on a limb perched

Rendered helpless and suspended
Stuck in this web undefended
Sinking in the quicksand
Looking for a savior to grab my hand

Like bamboo who waits for the wind
To move its weightless limbs
I too wait for you
Like that grass waits for the morning due

Time passes, as sand grains in hour glasses
Not wealth; a flawless appearance
That follows the masses
I want a companion that last
Till the remain of ashes

So I wait not in anticipation
But in relaxation
Ill know when my soul
Feels that sensation
