If this is what it takes...

by Renee   Jul 13, 2006

It took forever to get it together.
One swift move and he's gone forever.
Forget the past or you'll regret in the future,
I bet you wish you'd never left.

I heard about those ugly stories,
you were mad and never forgave.
now it's too late, all apologies are lost in the grave,
and you love him now after his fate.

It took an arguement to pull us apart,
and a tragedy to fix it back up.
But what does it matter...now everything matters
more than it ever did at the start.

I've never seen her cry so hard,
I've never felt the pain she felt.
But with his face full of joy, and his hand bloody cold...
I saw her heart jump right into his throat.

"There is tears and there is laughter,
but most importantly, there's us."

This was a hard one to write. I just went to the viewing of my grandpa who died a few days ago, my mom's whole side of the family is finally back together and this is what it took. It's pretty sad. The quote is something my Grandma said, and I agree. The tears and the laughter are there to honor him, but at least we were all there to do it.

Hey. I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, and that it had to take such an event for your family to get over things and come together. Losing someone is hard, but it's not as bad when you have someone who understands. Thanks for being so caring to me. You're a great girl. I wish you the best dear, you take care, too.

    Much love,
