Letter to Him

Dear God,
You took me in when I was hurting.
And even though I'm cleaner I'm still unworthy.

With arms wide open I found my home.
Away from the pain where I'm not alone.

The scars still remain as the memories fade.
The time I use to search for passes every day.

You washed my sins and replaced my fears.
With a heart that is righteous and a sense for no tears.

In the wrong that I did and the right that I ignored.
You gave me the keys to open this door.

The path that I've walked, I would do it again.
Just for the right to call you my friend.
