Captivity

by Darkened Rose   Jul 17, 2006

I never knew that captivity
Was the best thing to happen to me
To be held in a room
Cold and damp awaiting my doom
To be held by rusty chains
Screaming out in so much pain
To be exhausted yet sleepless
Wondering thoughts but so speechless
To be ignored and buried six feet under
To sit there everyday and wonder
I want to tell them my problems now
But too afraid to speak out loud
The thoughts of me bring thousand of tears
Makes me shiver in a greatness of fear
I'm stuck in this dungeon-like room
I want to speak but that'll bring my doom
Day after day I just sit here
Day after day it's them I hear
I want to show one soul I suffer behind a smile
I know I can only last a little while
This secret I will continue to hide
Til the day I finally die

Cool.. Deep.. Confusing.. lol.. So, are the 1st two lines sarcasm? Is Captivity the best thing? Sorry.. having a blonde day.. lol.. The rest of the poem, I found intriguing; where you were going, or trying to say. I got to the end and it left me wanting to smile.. to smile to hide the sorrow of still being here day after day.. Well done. 5/5. xx
