Salvation

This is the story
of a sad, young girl.
Who felt misplaced
in a big, crazy world.
She lost all hope
and gave up on her dreams.
She had the perfect life,
or so it seems.
She had so many feelings
that she tried to hide.
So many secrets
that she kept inside.
The feelings she felt,
so hard to explain.
The secrets she kept,
so hard to contain.
She lived two lives
for her own good sake.
One happy and joyful.
The other full of heartache.
Then came a day,
when she tried to be strong.
She tried and she tried,
but things just went wrong.
But still she tried
and prayed to God.
"Dear Lord, I love you.
Thank you for this day.
Thank you for any blessings.
Please listen, as I pray."
And so she continued,
with a tear in her eye.
"Oh Lord, please forgive me
for the things i have done.
Please forgive me, Oh Lord,
for who I've become."
"I'm sorry, Lord God,
for the sins I've committed.
But I am changing my ways.
I am fully submitted."
"To you, Oh Lord,
I submit my life.
Every joy, every sorrow,
every bit of strife."
"I will read your word
again and again.
In Jesus' name
I pray, AMEN."
From that day forward,
she grew in the Lord.
She began to understand him
more and more.
She lived her life
according to his word.
She became happy
and felt more reassured.
