A Different Bottle

by mindless   Jul 19, 2006

It looks at you with knowing eyes
A different bottle every night, not a great surprise
It consumes you while you consume it
One day without it and you'd throw a fit
Is it the adrenaline rush being you're not of age?
Does it make you feel free, out of that teenage cage?
You could say that, it'd be partway true...
It takes me to a world far away from you
Do you have first impressions of me?
Do you think of what happened in my life to make me hate thee?
My anger is not just geared toward you
It's geared toward other people too
If I don't love myself, how can I love anyone?
Do you think I like to drink? That I think it's fun?
I don't have a choice anymore, my body depends on it
It's an automatic high, with an OK benefit
I couldn't ask you to understand; you couldn't
I don't want your help; if I were you I wouldn't
Just leave me alone, let me be
Open the next bottle
I'll pay the everlasting fee
