The Darkness Consuming

by Lorenzo Arteaga   Jul 19, 2006

Darkness falls about my face,
Defining characteristics of our race,
For when we stand hand in hand,
Is this the so called 'Promise land?'

If not then why,
Are we here?
It's helping nothing,
Just brewing fear,

Darkness consumes me,
Bringing forth my rage,
The cup is clinking,
Upon my cage,

The monster inside me,
Screams for release,
Throughout this torment,
My angers increased.
.
.
.
. . . . . . . . . .
