Open your eyes to me

by The Lion   Jul 19, 2006

A Meal, an evening, a couple to all who see them, but to none that know them.

I cry when your away,
I can't see you with another,
I want you to know,
I'd love to tell you,
That four letter word,
But what would it change?
Could we be the same?
Our friendship unlike your other friends, unlike mine,
So close the boundary's blur,
yet still living for another,
Won't he open his eyes to me?
Mine are open to him.

I try to show it to you,
A hug, a close moment,
I darent complete it, or us.
Time and friends we've been and had,
We're together in all but name and circles,
The first step of a new beginning is hard to reach.

***

Him or her with another it puts them back to the first day,
I'll give them time and maybe they can see,
Please won't you tell me,
Tell me that little word.
She cries when he is away,
He wishes she'd say,
He cries when she is away,
She wishes he'd say,

***

I cry when your away,
I cant see you with another,
I want you to know,
I'd love to tell you,
That four letter word,
But what would it change?
Could we be the same?
Our friendship unlike your other friends, unlike mine,
So close the boundary's blur,
yet still living for another,
Won't she open her eyes to me?
Mine are open to her,

If i find another half,
the jigsaw never quite fits,
Even if the pieces fit,
The picture won't match,
Always the picture of the special friend on top,
I Cry when she's away,
I think she knows,
What if I opened her eyes to what she can already see?

A Meal, an evening, a couple to all who see them,
maybe they'll risk it tonight.

She opened his eyes,
He opened hers,
their circles at last complete.
