Upon A Road

by Jacklyn   Jul 20, 2006

I have traveled to the edge
to where I felt discomfort
leaving my inner walls
exposing myself to the world

I have explored many hells
where I may have died
experienced the kind of fear
that has never left my heart

I have stood upon the world
crumbling beneath my feet
I tried to catch the stars
as they slowly disappeared

I have seen society turn it's back
as someone turned to God
while some abandon hope
abandoning themselves

still experiencing beauty
of people doing good deeds
as lovers explore their lust
while people stand for good

feeling every inside emotion
every poet has written freely
freeing my restless mind
through the art of poetry
