The Razor's Sharpest Edge

by {Miss} [A][L][L][I][S][O][N]   Jul 20, 2006

Blade held steady
Sharp as ever in her hand
She doesn't feel alive anymore
So she'll bleed just to know she still can.

Her heart aches with love for him
He's long since forgotten her
She'll wait till his name's spelled in red on her arm
Just to prove her heart's still pure.

Red rivers dripping from her wrist
Stronger than any tear
She's given all she's ever had
Just to hold his presence near.

And she swears she hears him laughing
As she teeters on despair's loneliest ledge
All because she believed the lies heard whispered
From the razor's sharpest edge.

~*This poem is not about me, or anyone I know, just meant to be a story, got bored one day. I actually like this one, though, so comments & votes would be appreciated. Merci Beaucoup.*~
