My Deathly Sin, My Everything

by Steph   Jul 21, 2006

It's okay just leave now
I'm better off alone
There's nothing more I want from you
Than just to bring me home

I'll be okay if you leave
I'll turn this life around
I'll reach up high and wonder why
I was ever near the ground

I don't need you anymore
So break the grasp you hold
Let me walk away
So I may do as I am told

If only I could say that
If only I were strong
If only I could say the things
To keep me moving on
I know what's best for me now
But cannot seem to do
Oh you're my deathly sin, my everything
I am a slave to you

You lift me up and hold me high
But only to throw me down
I hate how weak you make me
In your words I seem to drown

I have others close to help
I do not need you there
But you're really like a magnet
And you just won't let me share

If only I could say that
If only I were strong
If only I could say the things
To keep me moving on
I know what's best for me now
But cannot seem to do
Oh you're my deathly sin, my everything
I am a slave to you
