when you lie down and cry,
young girl the pain you feel,
makes you want to die.

a smile for you is a million miles away,
all hope you felt has faded,
not even the joy of life can make you smile,

a candle burnt to the bottom,
useless and colorless,
a child of many problems,
a degraded and bruised mess,

powerless and unstable,
