Sitting, Waiting

by Krazy   Jul 26, 2006

She sits there.
listening, hoping
the phone sits silent
as always.
her day dreams were always just out of reach from reality
hoping that he might call
just to say hi
or hang out
she would give anything to see him right then
he was gone for a week
maybe he'd drop by before he left..
maybe she'd receive some cookies in the mail box..
even just a letter in the mail...
days later
she sits there
listening, hoping
yearning to hear his voice
or even just the chance to talk
the thought of him gives her the shivers
she smiles.
knowing he'd be back soon.
