Woken from a crashing
and screaming from my dad
here the car screech down the street
there goes everything i had

" mum where did dad go"?
"just away from a while" she said
i knew she lied for my safety
and told me to go back to bed

an hour past that long night
and stil i was wide awake
went down to mummy's room
walked in to see her smile fake

walked over to her bed
and cuddled in her arms all night
as mums tears drop down to my shoulder
is a upsetting and sad sight

i turn over and rub her head
"i love you more than anything"
i close my eyes to go to sleep
and my favorite song she starts to sing...

dad will never come back
i stopped waiting years ago
if he loved me for me
i wouldn't feel so low

i wouldn't be a broken teenager
id never fake this smile
we could of been a family
but it only lasted for a little while
