Little things, big favours...

Everyone make mistakes
this we all know
thats just life,
the way things go

we will all have our troubles
our spites and despairs
we will all have times
when we scream that its just not fair

but we will all also have times
that we cherish and love
times that couldn't be better
no matter what

but only if we decide
that life's troubles wont get in our way
they wont bother and haunt us
each and every day

and if we decide
to let them roll off our chests
we have to try
to do our best

there's no such thing as perfection
and that is so true
but why not try our best
in all that we do?

why cut ourselves short
say i cannot do this
without even trying
with a fight and a fist

why is it that it's so hard
to smile at our neighbour
when just a smile
can be a big favor

a reminder that
it will be alright
both throughout the day
and the night

a smile that says
someone knows i'm here
i'm not invisible
because they see me there

or a hug
just a simple thing
that can make our hearts
laugh and sing

it comforts us
and keeps us warm
when we're sad
and our hearts are torn

so when you start off today
make sure there's time
to let someone know
they're doing just fine

don't hold the grudge
don't hate life
don't say it's against you,
you'll be alright

smile at the girl crying
and give a hug to a friend
tell them your glad
you got to see them again

and make definite sure
that you've told yourself
it's okay, and you love you too
because there's no better thing to do
