Losing My Fear (Free Verse)

I' m here once again with my same question
Hanging over a fire of rejection
I' m too heavy for this rope of faith to hold me
Time to drop my fear into the fire

I' m burning my fears and
Cutting myself off this rope
Landing beside the fire
Still trapped behind these walls

Nothing will keep me safe from this fire
No use in hiding from it
I' ll step around this wall
What' s the worst that can happen?

I could lose your friendship
But I could gain something more
You could make my heart throb
You could make my heart ache

Everyone suffers a broken heart
I' m no different
I like you but if you say no
I' ll walk it off and move on.
