Deeds

by Ana   Jul 27, 2006

Place a mask upon the lies
Healing all of that which cries
Holding out a helping Hand
Turning pebbles into sand

Offering the antidote
Kill the bile in your throat
Fix a hundred scabby knees
And the thousand stings of bees

Sooth the once annoying itch
Pull the car out of the ditch
Give a pint or two of blood
Clean away the dirt and mud

Take an orphaned person in
Forgive another person's sin
Cast a smile to the poor
Change a whimper to a roar

Live life giving all you've got
Forget about the fights you've fought
For one day you just might need
Someone else's caring deed.
