Misguided Love

by BrownEyes   Jul 27, 2006

To have loved someone is to have been through the pain they cause
The differences that put your emotional roller coaster on play and then pause
Make you love harder and deeper or at least you thought they did
It only put you in a position to do and say things that the heavens forbid
You loved with all your mind, body, and soul and hoped for the same in return
All you got was the excuses, broken promises, and a world falling apart
You wondered how you could have ever loved that much and missed the negative things
Unknowingly let someone have your heart with the promise of forever and all it brings
You put everything on hold just for that one person and ended up disappointed
Love is not guaranteed to everyone and not to everyone who is meant to be loved is love provided
To know misguided love is to have a puzzle with missing pieces
Misguided love is a broken heart whose walls had too many creases
