Invisible Tears

by BrownEyes   Jul 27, 2006

I'm crying but you can't see the invisible tears
I'm hurting inside and I've been hiding it for years
You ask what's wrong and all I do is smile
If only you could walk in my shoes for a mile
You would see how it is to live this life
Maybe learn to keep everything in, hoping to survive

I'm crying but you can't see the invisible tears
I'm hurting inside and I've been hiding it for years
You act like you care how I feel but you don't
If you did, you wouldn't treat me like I'm a ghost
The fake hugs and smiles, I see through all that
Little do you know, that your actions are crushing my heart

I'm crying but you can't see the invisible tears
I'm hurting inside and I've been hiding it for years
The things I've done, said, and seen are unspeakable
If you could see the world through my eyes, it would be unbelievable
I've been hurt in every possible way by many
My trust for others is completely lost that it's scary

Why can't you see me crying?
Why won't you help me stop this hurting?
My heart is growing weary and I'm getting tired
Of feeling and dealing with the pain caused by those I admire
I'm lost and confused, and I'm seeking your guidance
My life is like a maze, I'm trapped and asking for you to find me

Help me wipe away these salty tears that run like an ocean
Take away the pain and embrace me with arms wide open
I'm crying but you can't see the invisible tears
I'm hurting inside and I've been hiding it for years
