Instilled Illusions

by Chris Drane   Jul 28, 2006

What if someone told you
That your life was a lie
That everything you have ever done
Was an illusion instilled in your eyes

Would you believe them
Would you change everything
Or would you continue
Living a lie
Knowing nothing is real

Would you take the risk
Something real or something good
The past has caught up
And its coming right behind you
Cant you see the headlights?

Keep running, faster, faster
The road will never end
And the car is getting closer
You don't deserve this pain
And for that I am warning you

Now I have what is real
And although it may cut me deep
At least I can call it mine
Myself
No more instilled illusions
