Broken Past

by Chris Drane   Jul 28, 2006

The bus came every morning
I wish life would leave me alone
Wake me up from my night of mourning
And take me to my hell

Alive, but never awake
Just leave me alone
An entire life fake
My sins are still burning

Stop smiling at me
I know what you do
Don't you know I see?
Cross my heart and stab my back

I heard them talking
They just looked, laughed
But I just kept walking
Words sharp like a knife

I can never be free
Do you see my scars?
This is what you do to me
I'll slip and cut you instead

As soon as it starts to mend
Just pick my scab
Death would be the end
I wouldn't give you the satisfaction

The days had their end
The nights would relive the last
Just be my friend
The story of my broken past
