The Way I am

by Whitney Danielle   Jul 29, 2006

I sit here in this classroom,
Surrounded by my peers,
None of them my friends,
But do I cry any tears?

I keep to myself,
Don't say anything at all,
Just doing my work,
Listening to the hustle in the halls,

They don't to say anything,
Not even a Little hello,
But do I care one bit?
Hell no!

I hear them laugh and wonder,
I wonder are they laughing at me?
Just leave me alone,
Just leave me be,

I'm not dumb nor am I stupid,
I hear the things they say,
All the snickers and pointing,
It happens every day,

Someone once asked me,
Why I am the way I am?
So I told them the truth,
"You made me the way I am"
