Our Time

by Nengirl   Jul 30, 2006

You left 3 months ago,

like the birds you flew south for the winter,

and now as spring's comin near,

I'm afraid that you're not on your way back,

I spend my days looking for you ,

and my nights are spent waiting for your phone call,

You had to leave and I don't blame you,

It was time for you to spread your wings,

but after a failed search,

what you were looking for was always here,

I was always the one to catch you when you fell,

and I'll be here when you come back down,

The summer won't be the same without you near,

and sunburns won't be covered by lotion,

cause it's more than skin deep,

but I'll search the sky for you,

and if you never come back,

I'll be ok cause I don't get my hopes up anymore
