A Father's Love

by Tru   Jul 31, 2006

I never thought I could be this glad,
Until the day I became a dad.
When I was told I had a boy,
My heart screamed and jumped for joy.
As I held him for the first time,
I thought about my silly life of crime.
Every time I see his little face,
He reminds me of a better place.
A place where he will never have to fear,
Where he'll never shed a tear.
His eyes shine with the deepest blue,
The love I have for him is nothing but true.
Here I'll stand and help him grow,
The secrets of the world to him I'll show.
This little boy that is my son,
Together, Forever, our souls will run.
