Missing Amy Palmer

by Chelsea Campbell   Jul 31, 2006

Feels like forever,
since our last conversation.
I can barely remember your voice.
You were so beautiful, so happy.

You were too young to pass away.
Many nights I have stayed awake.
Drinking to take away the pain.
God, I wish I could escape.

If only I knew where you were.
I dream of a place unimaginable.
Someday I will meet you there.
But someday seems so far away.

I wish you were here to wipe away my tears.
If only I could rewind our lives.
Remember all the nights we walked the streets?
Remember popcorn dipped in butter?

Feels like forever,
since our last conversation.
I can barely remember your voice.
You were so beautiful, so happy.

I am not that happy how this one turned out--I think it is harder for me to write about, than what I thought.

I liked it very much, sad but oh so honest I liked the way you repeated the first stanza. So sorry for your pain.
    Thank you for reading mine.
