She's Gone

by Pain Remains   Aug 2, 2006

Time seems to stand still,
As we wipe our silent tears,
And then the nurse comes over,
And confirms our biggest fears,

She's gone to a better place she says,
God has taken her hand,
But the pain inside is killing us,
It's more than we can stand,

How do we live without her?
If we're dead inside,
And the thing i want to do most in the world,
Is run away and hide,

Hide away from the torturing hands,
That are slowly battering my heart,
From having to accept the truth,
That we will always be apart,

I can't imagine life without her,
Life carrying on,
She was my rock, my world, my everything,
My angel sent from god,

No one seems to understand,
How much she meant to me,
I can't seem to accept she's gone,
This is not how it's meant to be,

She's now flown up to heaven,
She's flown right up to god,
And I hope she's looking down on us,
And sending us her love,

So now I'll just remember her,
And keep her in my heart,
Until it's my time to die,
And we will no longer be apart.
