Another kind of Beautiful

by { The Jesster }   Aug 2, 2006

As she looked into the mirror,
she said "Hell, I want to kill her",
The icy, cold eyes,
Reveal no prize,
Her confident stance,
Shows a tough girl at first glance,
But inside down below,
A river of emotions flow,
In the depths of the hard face,
Remains a slight hint of grace.

Time has done to her all of this,
A permanent mark of misfortunes kiss,
The scar still looks fresh,
After months on the flesh,
It stains the cheek down which tears often leak.

However beauty is more than a pretty face,
A satin dress with pearly lace,
Real beauty comes from within,
Down from the heart,
beneath the skin,
A guy who can always make you smile,
Is worth reaching out that exrta mile,
A girl who can make you instantly dance,
Is worth living life on a permanent chance,
Anybody who can make you sing,
Is all of the joy that life will bring.

But often these beautiful people can be scraed to show,
What they're really like in their souls below,
If only I could have made her see,
That she was a beautiful person and already all she'd ever need to be...

"Hell, I want to kill her" she said to herself,
As she took Daddy's gun down from the shelf.
