I am my own misery

by Lynn   Aug 3, 2006

Life is too short
And it goes too fast
No one knows how long
It would ever last

I'm like a bird
Trapped in this cage
Waiting to be free
From this cage of misery

The misery of losing my soul
It's like looking at an empty bowl
An empty spirit
Waiting to be filled with memories

Waiting to be filled with the joy
Of one, who misses it
In his mind, in his soul
Sadly to be that "one" is me

I've completely failed and now I have no hope
I've turned into this person that I never wanted to be
All I have left is this pen and this paper
So I can write down my feelings maybe someone will read them later

But as sad as it is
My feelings will never end
I am a horrible person
That, I don't pretend

It's really sad to see
How can this really be?
I just figured it out
I am my own misery.

I really enjoy your poems their all strong and powerful. I think thats in you as a person too, the last line" I am my own misery," I wish it could also say"I am my own destiny". If you ever want to talk Im a good listener!
