Never say goodbye

by gabrielle.Xx   Aug 6, 2006

Down in the shadows
under the oak trees
a small young girl
upon a mans knee,
he places his fingers,
gracefully on her head,
he whispers in her tiny ear,
and his final goodbye was said,
a tiny tear dances down her cheek,
rushing down towards her heart,
indside her skin her body breaks,
and her mourning begins its start,
she jumps up and he grabs her hand
as she struggles to run away
inside her heart the blood freezing cold
and her tongue wont let her say..
her last goodbye was never said,
and shes no longer on his knee,
shes all grown up and alone now,
because that girl is me,
and in his tombstone is a letter she wrote,
i guess it was her goodbye,
its a short note to her closest thing to a family, dad or grandpa.
it reads in writing,
a little untidy but still written with love,
'pop ill never let you go, i know your always up above'
