My Daddy

by Stacy May   Aug 6, 2006

When you look into my eyes,
Tell me what you see,
A heart full of pain,
A life full of misery,

When you look into my eyes,
Tell me what you see,
A little girl all alone,
Sitting on a swing,

When you look into my eyes,
Tell me what you see,
Me without a daddy,
One to love and hold me,

No he isn't dead,
But I guess he might as well be,
My father seems to hate me,
He fills my life with fear,

I thought a dad should be there,
Even just to wipe away my tears,

When you look into my eyes,
You know what I wish you could see,
The little girl who's daddy,
Used to push her on the swings.
