Friends

by Sandra   Aug 6, 2006

You and me, me and you
Her and I, I and her.
We used to have so much fun,
Used to play and laugh.
Used to smile and cry.

I don't know if I should blame myself, or anyone.
All I know is, that you, my best friend is not with me anymore.
We used to talk about everything,
Call each other at night,
When anyone of us were sad.
And now, you're not with me any longer.

I'm looking out my window,
Looking at flowers we once planted.
I'm sorry that you left,
I'm sorry that you let me down.
Sorry for all the pain you've cost me.
But most of all,
I'm sad that I lost my best friend.

    Good start, here's my critique:

-You can work on the flow
-Use "fill" words less such as "I", a, and etc.
    -Be more description, add imagery

    Ex:
I'm looking out my pallid window,
Gazing at flowers we once planted.
