Second Chance.

by Megann Lee   Aug 6, 2006

Many say we are all reborn.
Placed back upon Earth.
Wings taken; second chance given.

Last shot to fix our errors.
Make no wrong turns.
Or cross that uncrossable line.

One sin and wings shall again appear.
Shooting from your pale shoulders.
No more chances life of eternity.

Safe from life's harshness.
And it's never ending ridicules.
Or the lingering laughs and hateful stares.

This was really different from all the poems that I normally read, and I think that's why I like it alot more. It was original and not a cliche{sp?} I really really really liked how you opened the poem up, that first stanza just hit me, it was great. Keep it up! 5/5
