Remember Me

Remember Me

Remember me when I am gone
With a silly romantic song
Something slow and morbid
Would be so very wrong

Remember me when I'm dead
With the funny things that I said
Laughing and joking with my friends
Sad tearful poetry should not be read

Remember me when you mourn
Cry happy tears for me, for I will be gone
Then let them go and set them free
My loved ones should not be sad and forlorn

Remember me, those who I love
You filled my life with joy and song
I will be happy and where I belong
Your love will be sent with me above

Remember me with happiness my friends
Reminisce about glorious times we shared
Tell my grandbabies how very much I cared
Farewell my friends, until we are together again

Aw this is a very good, well written poem. Sad, yet full of hope. Good job.
