Twilight

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Aug 7, 2006

As the dark of night closes in
Twilight's chill consumes my skin
Sense's falter, lead me astray
One and all, my thoughts betray

Reeling psyche does swiftly spin
From wish to whim, buried within
And slowly all fades to grey
As one by one, my hopes decay

While the wind whispers my every sin
I feel my sanity wearing thin
Nought am I but nightmare's prey
As my mind slowly gives way
