The Deceased

by April Davis   Aug 7, 2006

We mourn for them and we cry
We take deep breaths and we take deep sighs
We know they are gone but we still feel their presence
And soon everyone around you will feel like a menace

We cry for them and wipe the tears
It doesn't seem to make a difference
They just seem to reappear

You wonder will the pain ever go away
Or will it be like a Shadow and always stay
Why is this dark cloud hovering over me
Just leave me alone so that I can find peace

Life is a cruel little thing
Always playing jokes on me
Why doesn't he know it isn't funny
Making me feel like such a dummy

It hurts when you lose a loved one
You isolate yourself from everyone

It's best to express those feelings inside
Don't push everyone away because soon they will leave your side

You will heal, it may take some time
But when you feel like crying just read over this rhyme

It might make you feel better
And I hope it does
Just take my advice, maybe all you need is a hug and love
