Wings To Fly

There she is, just lying on her bed
Broken up inside, wishing she was dead

She tries so hard, but nothing's going right
Too lost to move, too tired to fight

Music blaring and eyes full of tears
No one knows and no one cares

Parents yelling through the locked door
She screams back, she can't take it anymore

She looks up at all the posters on the wall
They're all big stars, and she feels so small

Her heart's full of dreams that will never come true
Her world's shattered, she'll never get through

She doesn't want to hurt, she doesn't want to cry
If only life would give her wings to fly

    Certainly not bad at all, but i gotta give it a 4 cuz of some minor mistakes ("noone" is two words, and after "they're all big stars" there should be an "and" instead of but)

    Many can appreciate and associate with this piece... it rings true within me from when I was younger. There is a honesty that shines through, perhaps because of the simple structure and wording. It is a very effect and saddening write, I enjoyed reading and reacting to it. It stirs memories aswell as pluck heartstrings... stay strong my dear, the saddeness will fade.
