Paint me over with your pretty lies one last time

by Not just a metaphorical genius   Aug 9, 2006

I knew better, than to trust you like this
But my ultimate denial was my moment of bliss
I held you close, and let your pretty lies flow
Your true nature lay hidden, it would never show

Your nature excited, my deepest desire
But my honesty knew, you were just a liar
A liar I loved, as much as I could
But you never loved me, you never would

A thief of love, in the worst way
You stole my heart, in one single day
A moment with you, was a moment too quick
And after, I was left heartbroken, and sick.

Now here I remain, broken and dead
Ill always love you, the words ring in my head
In love with a thief, a heart meant to be free
Still sadly hopeful, our love could be
