Guilty? You decide (part 2)

Dear Diary
My lawyer said to get my story right
Tell them exactly what went on that night
I didn't touch her in an indecent way
I want these allegations to go away

She was lying still in her innocent bed
The party downstairs went on ahead
Just wanted to check she was sleeping fine
I placed her hand into mine

She stirred a little and started to scream
She had just awoke from a bad dream
In a panic my mind went clear
For her safety I started to fear

She was crying from the nightmare she had
Screaming and shouting for her Dad
I told her to hush it would be alright
Uncle was here throughout the night

My little niece who I would never harm
Was snatched out of the bed in such alarm
Fingers were pointed at my way
I want these allegations to go away!

I love her so much my brother too
This is something I would never do
How can I go back to normal life
Dealing with this pain and strife!
