Creation

by Ana   Aug 12, 2006

The distant chimes mark the hour
The clouds are moving in
The world is spinning and twisting and churning
The temptation bubbles in my skin

The cries the howls the whispers the stares
They become but a faded blur
As the dormant creature, all but just dead
Cautiously begins to stir

Look upon the monster within
As it opens its tired eyes
It must protect the vulnerable mess
Which ever so quietly dies

Rise up and stand in your heirs place
Meet and challenge your lord
Embrace the power that you have starved for
Take the wings in which he had soared.

Master and Lord, look upon your creation
The small but content grin in place
Say hello to the newborn child you nurse
As its weakness melts without trace

Lone wolf before and lone wolf again
The parent abandons its child
Watch upon it with a hidden eye
As you cast it into the wild

I will be waiting, my teacher, my Lord
Until the day I should grow to be you
May you gloat with the pride of a satisfied father
May your desires for my path, come true.
