Memories

I stare into my mind and into my world
and lie on the grass before me.
The grass is blue, the sky is pink,
the clouds are still above me.

I reach out my hand and touch the clouds,
so dark but yet undiscovered.
My mind changed worlds, the sky is dark,
and the grass below me, covered.

My heart in flames, my head in pain,
the memories come flooding back.
The lies are raining, the darkness covering,
the shame is not what I lack.

The memories fade, the lies are gone
But yet I still remember
We made a decision, we went different ways,
cause we didn't stay together.
